All Work Desk and No Play--WOYWW

New organizer tray--still in the package!
I've devoted the last couple of weekends to housecleaning and reorganizing my craft stock. *Big sigh.* As we know, cleaning and reorganizing means we ARE NOT MAKING ANYTHING! *Big sigh and sniff.* However, all this reorganizing spilled into other areas, including cleaning out the DVR list of programs, and I stumbled upon my Knitting Daily programs (shown only once a week on PBS) and discovered the butterfly scarf pattern, and got really excited--just what I need, another project--and could not keep my fingers away from my super soft spa yarn and knitting needles.
This scarf is going quickly--is ridiculously easy but looks like it would be complicated--and I really want to find some gorgeous, thick bohemian yarns to make this in as well. I'm too excited. Calm down, Sandy, or you'll end up with a dodgy ticker!
I have some new goodies from Michaels on my worktable--they featured a 50 percent off coupon this past Sunday...I could not resist a little trip! New watercolors, good watercolor paper, linen aida, crochet flowers, and a fun new stamp. Closeups are below.
I love these multi-sided stamp cubes.
But some of my finest work is the organization of my scrapbook tubs. I broke out the label machine so that now I can find my 12X12 paper pads...miscellaneous scraps....punches....etc.
Working in a small area means I can't just spread out all the time--so I'm getting much better at organizing and labeling. In the meantime...speaking of storage problems...my sweet hubby was out in the garage working on my new craft shelves! It won't be long now. Happy WOYWW everyone! Join the blog party here. Crafty big hugs to you all!

I'm just dreamin' of all the supplies that are going to fit on these shelves...fabrics...books....projects...paints....bead trays...papers...zzzzz

  5. I'm just the same sometimes, I see a new idea and I'm off. Have to start making it straight away. I do have to tell myself that one job needs to be finished before another starts!!
Those shelves are rather gorgeous - not surprised you're already plotting what's going to go where :D

  8. That unit your hubby is working on is going to be wonderful. The big cabinet in my picture today was built by my son-in-law at my husband's direction. Someone gave my husband the doors and he envisioned the finished product! And I love mine. You will be able to store so much on it!

  12. Isn't it horrible when you get that cleaning and straightening bug, it just throws all the craft out the window and well the fun to have along the way. Those shelves look like they will be welcome in your craft space, just not happening fast enough for you ha. I am so envious that you can shop at Michaels we dont have them here in
    Australia boo hoo.
