And by the way I think we are all happy that our dearest Julia continues to be on the mend--she hosts today's fabulous link party...a wonderful weekly visit to crafty tables around the globe--visit and link up right here!

It's funny isn't it...we have a craze for doing something, then we forget about it and then we rediscover it. I do that all the time..but then, I am very fickle! I go where the next fad/craze takes me. Sigh. You'd think I'd be over it by now but it gets worse as I get older. I'm like the dog in the film up who's supposed to be concentrating on terrorising the kid and then is distracted by 'Squirrel!!'
ReplyDeleteAnyhow, I digress - your scrapbook pages are gorgeous, no wonder your family like them! I can admire them but have no desire to attempt them myself....can't get into yet another craft.....no time...!
I like kids that clear their plates too, can't be doing with fussy eaters. What a great companion your nephew turned out to be, they do like being with you at that age!
Hugs, LLJ 16 xx
PS My dad was 92 yesterday....bless him :-)
The film 'UP' btw...blooming auto correct!

I had to giggle when you said that scrapbooking got you into papercrafting. I know so many in that boat... but I'm not one of them. But I did just print out some pics and bought paper to make a couple pages of when our son was here last month! Your nephew is cute! Happy WOYWW and thanks for popping by!

I too started out scrapbooking. I have to admit though, I'm not very good at it. I want quick and done but love the look of the overdone page. Sigh...

Hi Sandy, I too am a kind of "long lost" scrapbooker! And, like you, that's how I started out crafting too. How ironic! And I have been saying how I need to get back into it as well! Perhaps you'll inspire me. . .
ReplyDeleteI like that scrapbook page. Scrapbooks were my first love, and I haven't done a page in ALONG time. I need to get back to it. #4
ReplyDeleteLove your LOs, Sandy! Great photos :)

How lovely to have your nephew alongside you. I'm so much more productive when I have other people around, even if they're not creating. Glad to hear you're enjoying getting back to scrapbooking.
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting on my blog.
Have a lovely week

Great layout - I have an album ready and waiting, and some pages but have never found the energy or time to go through all my photos and start putting them in it - I know I will one day but for now I love seeing what other people do with theirs. Scrapbooking is a craft for my future. Lovely to spend time with your nephew - it sounds like you had a special afternoon together. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog, I hope you have a great week,

Your post inspired me today. I too am behind in my goal to make a scrapbook page for each month. I look forward to seeing more of your completed pages. diane #75
ReplyDeleteHi Sandy, what a lot of fun goodies you have there, reminds me I have one of those metallic paint sets I haven't used for ages, look forward to seeing what you do with them. Good luck getting back to scrapping, sometimes there just isn't enough time in the day is there? Happy WOYWW Annie C #54
ReplyDeleteLovely to see your scrapbooking, Sandy. I haven't done a 12x12 page for ages, must get the stash out, although I have been keeping up with my project life which I'm pleased about.
ReplyDeleteLove your crafty partner there, he looks like he's having fun.

Love your desk and the scrapbook pages. Nice to have a visitor every now and then

I am interested in how you incorporate water coloring into your scrapbooking.
ReplyDeleteI scrapbook, and water color, but not together. :( #71
I forgot to say thank you for stopping by already today! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for swinging by earlier Sandy. I am looking forward to trying out the stencil you liked. What fun to have your nephew with you and that you have gone back to your first papercraft love. I recently resumed doing card challenges, as I love them, but needed a pause, as I got a bit obsessive! Cx #71
ReplyDeleteScrapbooking is my first love too!! your page looks good!
ReplyDeleteGreat to see you Scrapbooking... It's my first love along with rubber stamping!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the visit, sorry I'm a bit late in getting back

I have never done scrap booking but I do go from craze to craze - a real butterfly! We had a power cut last night so I am late doing the rounds again! Neighbour cut through the cable with his digger!!! x Jo
ReplyDeleteI tend to do art journalling rather than scrapbooks but love seeing the folder or book mount up with gorgeous pages.
ReplyDeleteLove the page you've shown us.
Happy crafting, Angela x #43
Sounds like a great way to spend an afternoon! I need to scrap more too. My sister says that a page must be made for every $100 spent lol. Thank goodness for sales! Thanks for visiting me yesterday, happy WOYWW! #53
ReplyDeleteHi Sandy Happy WOYWW - slowly getting to snoop a few more desks. I feel the same as you at times, only my garden and sewing come second - and just how many cards can one make!! Cheers and have a great weekend RobynO#29
ReplyDeleteAh Scrapbooking! That is my first love too. We have a group that meets once a month in the church basement for craft time. That's when I get most of my scrapbooking done. I find sketches keep my MOJO going. Thank you for stopping by my desk earlier.
