I am not ashamed though! This is What's-On-Your-Workdesk-Wednesday, and this is what we do! We don't clean up for the camera. Oh no. We suddenly just stop what we're doing, and snap a couple of photos to share the real story of creativity--and it's almost always kinda messy.
So pardon our progress (as the construction signs say) because I really was making progress here. I wanted to get a few more photos scrapbooked while I'm on a roll so that I could play with my new watercolor pencils. I just bought them--I didn't get super expensive ones, but I'm here to say, why didn't I have these before? They are so much fun! I just sketch and color a bit, then bring out the watercolor paintbrush and it all blends together. Love it. Last time, a fellow desker had asked how I used my watercoloring in my scrapbooking. So here's a page I had planned to do for my daughter's birthday, and I used a little watercolor I had done.
I'm also trying to do several flower watercolors using a combination of my watercolor paints, pencils and even gelatos. They will be for cards, scrapbook pages, and maybe to sell at a fall craft fair. I've also got more jewelry to make for that craft fair! Can't wait to show my mess next week--but soon I'll be off to visit your desk.

ReplyDeleteTell me about Sandy! I've got so many plots and plans in my head and not enough time t carry them out!
ReplyDeleteI'm not joining in this week as I'm on holiday by the sea. The weather is gorgeous and so is our rented cottage. I don't want to go home!!
Hugs, LLJ xxxxxx
I'd rather be with you by the sea Jan!!! I'm glad to know you are on holiday and having fun, because I worry if you are MIA from WOYWW! Hugs!
DeleteGlad to see you're having fun. You've inspired me to play around a bit with my water colour pencils.
ReplyDeleteHave a creative week

Beautiful photos! I have two days at Annie's with the twins this week so no sewing or crafting for me. Have a lovely week. x Jo
ReplyDeleteWater color pencils are the easiest and best way (I think) to water color. You get more control that way. They are fun. I'm glad you have discovered them. I had to laugh that you like to do it all every day. Hubby keeps fretting that I'll pick up a new hobby. I told him I barely had time for this one (paper crafting) so quit worrying! Judy #72
ReplyDeleteI wish that I could concentrate on one technique. I fear that having taught Art and Textiles I became interested in too many things and try to do them all and it just becomes mad let alone trying to store all the stuff. So I know how you feel Sandy. Anyway, happy crafting and have a great week, Angela x # 48
ReplyDeleteHi Sandy...Happy WOYWW, mess desk yes, lots of crafting going on yes...all good. Cheers and have a great week RobynO#8
ReplyDeleteI am LOVING your mess...sure sign of creativity, and I'm smiling at the way you've written...all hustle and bustle to get one thing done and move to another, what a fabulous place to be in!
ReplyDeleteHi Sandy,
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that I'm not the only one that concentrates on LOTS of different crafts! I've been battling with that one recently. Do I focus on knitting, or card making (no Hallmark store in town), or working with fabric...... I'm safe from scrapbooking but art journaling would be fun. The page of your daughters with the watercolor is great.
When you sale at the craft fair do you have several different type of items or do you stay with a theme?
Happy belated WOYWW
Peace, Kay (60)
