WOYWW 283 - Tags, Stitches, and Missing Trees

Happy What's-On-Your-Workdesk-Wednesday. I hope you are feeling happy and productive. It was a crazy cold weekend for Halloween this past week in the Ozarks, and it was also the time change when we set our clocks back an hour. I love more sunshine in the morning - but not sure if I don't mourn the loss of longer evenings even more! Let's face it--I'm a summer girl and want the sun to shine high at least until 9 p.m. every day!

Stitching little reindeers with variegated floss

Just realized, there's some Halloween candy on my table! I have played a lot at my craft table with my gelli-printed craft tags and my reindeer cross-stitch which is going to become a little Christmas banner hopefully. Last year I stitched several Christmas trees, but then didn't do anything with them as that was about the time my precious mother became ill and passed away. It was a very strange Christmas for me as I've never had a Christmas without Mom (or a holiday for that matter), and now I have no idea what I did with those little stitched trees. No doubt they are tucked in some nook or cranny of my crafty corner. I am still searching for them and wondering if they entered the wardrobe and crossed on over into Narnia and the White Witch took hold of them (I played the White Witch on stage once). We'll see. I'll keep you posted. In the meantime, my two lions, Minnie and Joseph wanted some camera time on the blog. Have a wonderful week lovelies!

Minnie likes to help Mommy.

Joseph (I actually call him "Butter") is feeling cozy.

  1. Those "firsts" are always so hard after we lose someone. ***sigh***
    And a hug.

Your desk is so full of bright colors, so fun and cheerful, Sandy. And your Minnie looks like our Daisy cat!

  2. Love your reindeers, Sandy, hope you find a really good use for them. We had the warmest Halloween on record here in the UK, really strange weather although it's turned much colder now. I'm with you though, would love the sunny nights to last all year.
    Love your two lions!!
    Thanks for popping by already

  4. It's been very cold here the past couple of days too...I reckon my peas and lettuces will gave been frosted by now. Our clocks went back the weekend before and while I adore balmy summer's evenings, I also enjoy pulling the curtains tight and shutting the world out. When the log burner is roaring away, I love being in our cosy little space!
Your reindeer cross stitch us looking beautiful, that sparkly Aida makes all the difference. I wonder what happened to those trees you did? You will rediscover them at an opportune moment, when the time us right and you are able to cope with the emotions that will undoubtedly resurface....
I want to see pics of you as the White Witch!!
    Hugs, LLJ 25 xx
