WOYWW 188--The View from Above

When a creative soul has an out-of-body experience, do they float over their work table? I think so! It's a happy place, right?

See happy places like mine from around the globe at Mrs. Julia Dunnit's Stamping Ground blog. Join us!

My happy place is busy with my art journal, as usual, sewing stash/busy box piled high, and a pile of photos and frames. After we put away Christmas decorations, I had to rearrange all my framed photos in the great room, and this led to a lot more framing of new photos, and reframing! The fun continues, because I realize I have so many that should be printed out, and so I am sending them to Walgreens for some instant art!

I've also been making homemade lanyards--I'll be posting about that tomorrow--and as I've had time off to clean and tidy, I find things I forgot I had, and it's like getting a present! I found this very cool set of knitting patterns--I'm so excited! (that's the beauty of memory loss AND cleaning)

So, as the sun graciously joins me, and I find a mug of coffee, I'm feeling very art journaly. (Is that a word?)

Have a wonderful day, beauties, and how I wish we all lived on the same street and could just go to one of Julia and Jan's crops! Wouldn't we all have fun!

Eat, Write, Dream, and Stitch in your happy place.

  3. Sandy I like the out of body shot of your desk. As usual, your photography warms my heart with all that goodness going on. Perhaps, this will be the year I start an art journal. Are you using clothes pins to store twine ? I am always looking for new ideas.

Come check out my desk when you are free.

  10. I love the excitement of rediscovering stash that I'd totally forgotten about. You're right, it so like buying it all over again, lol! You will have to show us what you make from th knitting book.
I wish that we could just pop in as well! There are ways and ways of getting you to the crop, mostly involving Skype! We are going to get ourselves organised and work something out. I don't se why you and other folk scattered around the world can't join in. If you haven't got Skype already, perhaps you'd like to consider it before then :)
But if you fancied a trip over, you'd always be very very very welcome :)
