WOYWW 299 - a cleaner crafty table!

Happy What's-On-Your-Workdesk-Wednesday fellow desker!
If you're not a "desker" you should be. Your desk might be messy, clean, crazy, creative, and interesting in some way, so come on over to Miss Julia's Stamping Ground and link up!

I stitched a junk journal and added buttons and beads
Today on my crafty table in my crafty corner of the planet (a happy place): that matryoshka cross-stitch pattern, because I'm currently stitching no. 3. Some little flowers laying there--I got out my flower loom during the Oscars the other night, and made some flowers while I was watching with my family. We made a point to see some of the movies this year, which always makes it more fun to watch the Academy Awards live. By far, I love The Theory of Everything.
Also on the desk is some wonderful new hand therapy lotion--very nice to have there when crafting with its lemon and chamomile aroma.
In the middle is my little junk journal--I posted all about it the other day--and I love having it with all its sturdy stitched pages and lots of places to write. Is a junk journal a new thing or technically an old thing? Either way, it was fun to make and fun to use all the time. I'm getting ready to doodle in the new/old thing now. I might be popping over to your place soon too. Have a great week!

  1. A flower loom? Is that the pink 'thing' in the picture? I assume you made the fuchsia flowers that are lying there. Great idea.
I love your junk journal. I've started one to learn more techniques but other priorities seem to creep in the way....
    Have a great week,

  2. Love that adorable owl on your junk journal page :) It is really cute! I am curious about that box behind it with the blue handle and roll of washi tape sitting on top. Inquiring minds wonder if there is something interesting in it :P Shel-PaperOcotilloStudio @51

  3. Your junk journal is absolutely gorgeous - I love the owl and bird pages - and the cover is beautiful, with all the buttons and stitches - such great detail. Like Shel I really like the little box behind the journal - I love the lid and can't make up my mind if it's ceramic or not! Hope you have a great week,

  7. Your journal is awesome. To be honest, I think it does not matter, how you call your journal. I hate tagging in any way, because it always makes me feel, I could make mistakes and use the "wrong" materials with it . Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for your earlier visit!
    Hugs

  14. Old/new, it doesn't matter what you call it, that journal is fantastic! I love the front cover especially. No wonder you're going to enjoy using it so much :-). It's good to see that Russian doll pattern is nice and big, I don't know if I could distinguish a small one these days. I've just had an eye test and my shortsightedness has got worse, so I've just ordered my first pair of varifocal glasses for when I don't wear my contact lenses....sigh. Am feeling OLD!!
The typewriter fabric sounds brilliant, I'll keep my eye out for some :-)
    Sending bug hugs,

  18. Missed the Theory of Everything - both my teens saw it and raved but I managed to miss it so far. Used to be me who was up to date with all the good films but they are much more knowledgeable than me these days! Loving that junk journal - new/ old - who cares LOL? Thanks for stopping by, Cindy x

  19. A flower loom.... sounds interesting! I'll have to wait until the Theory comes out on Netflix or Amazon Prime. We didn't see any of the Oscar nominations this past year. Love your pages! And thanks for stopping by! Happy WOYWW!
