WOYWW 298 - Snow and a junk journal

Something magical happens when a crafter gets snowed in....she crafts!!!

Happy What's-On-Your-Workdesk-Wednesday lovelies. Click here to visit the party at Miss Julia's.

Well we've been quite dumped on by old man winter--around six inches of snow or so. Just enough to call off school and work--woo hoo! So I layed aside my cross-stitching to work on a little junk journal. I plan to write more about it tomorrow. But it all started with taking a couple of old art journal style planners and ripping out the beautiful pages I did not use, and also pages where I wrote lists I'd like to look at again, quotes, and thoughts.

It was fun going through them. I stitched pages together by hand, on the sewing machine, added buttons, beads, gelatos, diecuts, even cross-stitch -- so fun.
Then, hubby and I opened an Etsy shop! Check it out on the right where I actually figured out how to add the Etsy mini. I tell you, I was on a roll. Our shop is called Vintage Post & Paper.

snow selfie!

Then darling daughter and I had to do our annual photo shoot in the snow--it was so cold out there my fingers were freezing off, so I could only take so much

Hope you are having a very lovely Wednesday!

We have been getting a lot of snow as well, but since I have an online business, it didn't make much difference to my my crafting! Of well, stay warm! Thanks for sharing! Lindart #55

  5. I've got everyone stitching on the bus now rather than playing on their phones. Much more sociable. The shop is looking good by the way

  7. Oh, I love those thread cards, they are lovely and I've never seen anything like them over here in the UK. Your journal is gorgeous and I love the bird and flowers paper (or is it fabric). Good luck with your Etsy store, I'm off to have a peep at it now!
