WOYWW 210--Cards, Art Journals, Knitting...Just the Usual Happy Stuff

Happy WOYWW Desk Hoppers! I'm making it short and sweet today--I've got too much to do! I've just been through a week of special birthdays and our 24th wedding anniversary, and now Father's Day is coming up! I've been trying to put together an upcycled creative art journal...working on knitting those squares for what I'm calling my yarn quilt...longing to do some embroidery and sew a summer dress....I've made very special birthday cards...I'm in the garden, baking birthday cakes, and going out to special dinners. I also work--crazy!

I need more of me, because I just bought a Sizzix Texture Boutique, and I'm in love with that little thing. It is sooo cute, and I picked up not only a Sizzix embossing folder, but some Paper Studio brand embossing folders that also work really well in the texture boutique. This is going to make some really fun layouts for art journaling and scrapbooking, not to mention pretty cards. I am feeling so happy and blessed, except for maybe one thing. Something has gone awry with a tooth--and I just got a checkup a few weeks ago. So it's back to the dentist today...dreading, dreading.

In the meantime, I will have plenty to keep me happy and busy, whatever he does with this tooth. And honestly, I am thankful we live in the day and time that we do where you can just go to the dentist when you have a problem. Can you imagine the dental horrors if you lived in medieval times for example? It's these thoughts that make me feel a little better. Because I am not the ideal patient.

  1. Sandy I am right there with you with too much to do. Teacher's gifts, sympathy cards, father's day cards and not to mention my regular craft projects.

I love embossing and I hope you have fun playing with your Sizzix. I can't wait to see what beautie you create!

    Have a blessed day!

  3. So much to do, so little time!! My garden has been sorely neglected these past few weeks...sigh. Still, the wild flowers (weeds) are growing well, so hey ho, I have Natures colours instead :-)
Happy Anniversary to you and the Hubster! It'll be your Silver Wedding next year! We've been married for nearly 31 years...that's scary....but fun!

  9. OMG! I hate dental work worse then having general surgery! Hope it is something they can fix relatively easily! Great looking desk and hopefully you will be able to work on your pages soon! Thanks for sharing and I hope you have a great week! Vickie #26

  12. Hi Sandy,

I hope the dentist visit went ok. The last I went I was told that I need to replace a cap.... so I haven't been back!

Happy Anniversary! My big birthday month is October - mines the end of this month so I'm the oddball. haaa

I'm so sorry it's taken me this long to stop by. Time management wasn't on my side over the weekend.

    Happy WOYWW
