I have been putting together an upcycled art journal for about the last week or two, and it is all together now, waiting for entries about my summer, my garden, and my crafty warm days. The entire post about making the journal is coming Thursday.
This is the before and after with the front cover, the original file dividers (old and discolored, but with lots of grommets and metal stuff) and the back cover with both covers being made from the old file dividers. Everything being used is from stash and trash.
And I only have two squares left to knit before I can start the dreaded task of sewing the knit quilt together! If you love tags, check out my tag this week on Tag Tuesday--I'm on the Tag Team now! I'm so excited to be a tag-aholic! Happy Wednesday lovelies.

Your upcycled art journal is looking good! And I am so envious of your typewriter. Much simpler than computer (and printer in another room!) when you just want a few simple lines.

Your journal looks fab, fab, fab!!! I really do wish, at times I had a typ writter, even with the PC and all the publishing programs, a typewritter would work better fo some projects.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the Tag Team!!

Lovely journal coming together nicely there, and there is something about stuff typed on a typewriter... it looks better! I need a ribbon for my ancient one, then I could do this too! Annette #6

#144 this week with
a mess and a love apple
I live my life by non rules! Honestly, I do! I don't have a SatNav because I hate being told what to do and when to do it.....I do things deliberately the wrong way round...I never follow printed instructions. This makes me sound like a Stubborn Old Mare..which I freely admit I am..but I simply work better when I follow my gut instinct. After year of trying to sublimate this, I just thought Oh to Heck with it. It's so freeing to just do what I want as long as it doesn't hurt/offend.....I have a lot of fun in my life :-)

I'm with you! I'd rather be a non-rules stubborn old mare than be miserable! I think that's why when I take a nice, neat dress pattern, and tear into it and make it part of my art journal, it doesn't bother me one bit. Hugs to you sweet soul sister!
