WOYWW 297--It's Heart Week!

I love hearts and Valentines Day--always have ever since the grade school years when we turned our shoe boxes into little Valentines post offices and you got a card from everyone in the class.

*sigh* so lovely.

By the way, it's What's-On-Your-Workdesk-Wednesday and I'm off to visit the planet's most fun work tables, AND, mine is at odds with this peculiar angle. Not very revealing at this angle, but you can pretend like you just walked up on me while I was sitting there gluing or stitching or something with Downton Abbey pulled up on the tablet.

I swear, I'm going to start knitting with that giant bulge of pink very soon. Hugs and happy heart week dears!

  1. I wonder what your pink yarn will become? I haven't done much knitting recently but at last I am doing a bit more sewing these days. x Jo

  12. We'll just have to wait and see what that giant pink bulge becomes in the end! Hey, Sandy, did you hear that the next Downton Abbey (series 6) will possibly be the last one? Sobs :( Hopefully, the creators will come up with something just as good to replace it. Thanks for visiting earlier! Have a fun week! zsuzsa @ InkyDinkyDoodle #27

  13. I remember those shoe box Valentine Boxes with warm thoughts. I still remember going down on the main street in Kansas to find a shoe box. Then all the little Valentines. I still love those vintage Valentines from the '50s too.

  16. I love hearts and Valentines too, but have never heard of the Post Office that used to happen in your school...what a lovely tradition! As far as I'm concerned, you can never have too many hearts around the place!
That pink yarn is joking in the lurve this week! It's calling to you to get started though...Knit me, knit me. I would make a fantastic lacy shawl. Perfect for Spring and summer days :-)
Life is mad at the moment..lots going on with my dad (dementia getting worse..) and I'm job hunting in earnest again.
Sending slightly frazzled hugs this week!!

  20. Your pink yarn looks interesting. I am wondering if it is wool, cotton or acrylic. I'm thinking cotton? Hope you get to use it soon.
    Have a good week.
