WOYWW 279 - A Wee Bit 'O Weaving

I'm wee weaving at me desk again!
And I'm visiting crafty desks around the planet at Miss Julia's
What's-On-Your-Workdesk-Wednesday blog party. A great way to start your Wednesday.

So I'm super happy with my self-warping loom, and now I'm trying out ribbon yarn with some great results. This was just a ball of ribbon yarn laying around in my yarn basket forever and now it's found its purpose. Don't you love that? As a busy crafter you get judged for having a stash of stuff that may never get used...but then, it does! I may try to do a little November craft fair and make my stash earn some cash--we'll see. I have too many things going on right now! Happy Wednesday lovelies!

  1. Oh, I know what you mean! I have bits and pieces I've had for ages and then LO and behold, they get a purpose. I love your new loom, especially with that pretty ribbon woven on it. Looks fab, I bet it's quite therapeutic doing the weaving....I find making bunting has the same effect on me :-)
Autumn has definitely hit here, we've had high winds, the temps have finally dropped and the trees are turning colour. My garden is starting to look a bit shabby too.....as am I. Got a rotten kidney infection at the moment so I'm feeling bleuurggghhhh. It's most unlike me to feel this yuk, but there you go. I'll pick up soon. Hope you are ok :-)

  6. I adore your wee weaving, Sandy!! What fun. And what a lovely lot of interesting stuff on your desk! I love your blog header too - really original and lovely.

Thanks for your very understanding comment on my blog - you know only too well the frustrations of running out of energy once the boring stuff is done, and no energy left for fun! So glad you like my space, and how nice that you've got a LLJ pincushion too!

  13. I often feel I have to hide some stuff because I feel guilty that I haven't used it and then bought something new. Pleased you've found a use for some of your left over stash.
Hope you have a good crafty week, Angela x 39

  15. I love the colour of the ribbon on that loom.
I know what you mean about stuff lying about for ages and then it gets used. I have had some happy 'discoveries' in the past of stuff I forgot I had....
Sorry I'm late this week. I was busy last night.
Thank you for letting me look over your shoulder.
    Have a good week,
