WOYWW 280--Tag Love

I stopped in the middle of an extremely satisfying tag art session to snap this crazy craft table.

Visit working crafty desks around the planet at What's-On-Your-Workdesk-Wednesday.

I gelli printed a lot of tags the other day, and they are quite fun to play with. In my crafty dreams I'm picturing this huge display of art tags to sell at a craft fair in November. Everyone will ooh and ahh and buy them all. In my crafty reality I better get busy because I've only done a couple--and I can only hope to sell a few! I get distracted by things like my real job, cooking dinner, cleaning, family activities, back pain, treadmill time, stitching and the garden. I will miss the garden though when the temperature drops! But when it's full blown winter you know what that means--it's almost time for Downton Abbey!!!
Behind me is my little Texture Boutique--I was embossing little tags. And there's my weaving.

The gelli printed tag I made for Tag Tuesday this week.

  1. We lit our log burner for the first time this autumn as the weather was so damp and chilly. In truth, it made us all a bit too hot but it was lovely to see the flames flickering :-)
Those tags are fun, aren't they? I bet it's because they're small and done quickly so it's immediate reaction kinda stuff. No great philosophical debate about what to include or not! You just do what comes naturally...
Hope you're keeping well and happy :-)

  2. Super cute tag!!! I stopped doing fairs because they are so much work to prepare for and I never sold much. Seems people these days don't appreciate hand made items anymore! I think it's best to really enjoy the making of items, regardless if they sell or not!!

Downton Abbey rocks!!! I watch it online and the first four episodes have been AMAZING!!!!

    Happy Crafting!

  5. ooooh I can see how much fun you were having there Sandy, you're making me itch to get into my craft room but as you know I can't get in there at the moment! That tag is looking fabulous, must pop over to Tag Tuesday in a bit. Love your Texture Boutique. I've never seen one before, it's really cute. With you on Downton Abbey but haven't been able to watch a single episode yet, so will be needing a mammoth back-to-back catch-up session sometime soon! Happy WOYWW :o) Annie C #64

  9. I love your tags, Sandy, how dare real life get in the way of our crafty sessions, lol. My garden is still looking beautiful, our autumn has been so mild so it's still pulling me away from my craft desk, still you have to make the most of it, like you say, it''ll soon be too cold and wet. We have just started the new series of Downton!!

  10. What a lovely tag! Oh, has Downton Abbey started? What channel is it on? I have a programme on my computer that gives me a British IP address so that i can watch iPlayer. Now that the evenings are colder, (we have just lit the log burner for the first time tonight) I love watching a good series.
Thank you for letting me peep over your shoulder.
    Have a good week,
    a hug and God bless,

  14. Ohhh...I love your tags! They are really unique and look like they were fun to create. You will have to keep us posted on how much fun and how much everyone enjoyed your tags at the November event. You'll do great! Happy WOYWW! Rasz #72

  16. Lovely tag, Sandy. I agree with QJ above, though - craft fairs may be fun but they are far too much work for far too little return. The last one I did, my hubby and I spent hours carrying and setting up all the stuff, and I was demo-ing all day, and I sold 9 cards. Never again.

I love that little embossing machine! What a cute design! Never seen one like that before.

    Happy belated WOYWW,
