WOYWW 219 -- A Simply Lovely Normal Day at the Desk

Happy What's-On-Your-Workdesk-Wednesday deskers! Don't know what a "desker" is? Visit the blog party here at Stamping Ground.

We are gearing up towards fall and all its busy-ness. My daughter starts back to college again, my husband is in rehearsals for a show, "Monty Python's Spamalot" and it's almost salsa canning time. While I've had  tons of spaghetti squash, cukes, zukes, eggplant and even a pumpkin growing, the tomatoes are all going to ripen in a huge batch. Pretty much the minute they are ready to get off the vine the salsa pot, jars and canner better be ready! In the meantime, I have sooo much spaghetti squash, I've found some great recipes to pin on my Pinterest Board!

On my workdesk today is a tag I just worked on, made from a paint chip sample card. Also, my knitting. I'm working on the back side of the tank top--the front side went really well, so I'm excited!

I've got cucumbers, lettuces and French beans coming out of my ears at the moment! But my onions are rubbish this year...ah we'll, you can't have it all ways!
And I want to know what role your husband has got in Spamalot!! Do tell...... ;-)

  3. Hi Sandy, great tag - paint chips are such fun aren't they? Good luck with your canning project - I've only got 8 tomatoes this year (better than the big fat zero last year - I'm obviously doing something VERY wrong!). MMx #83

  4. Hi Sandy! I haven't been to your desk in a bit. I was off from WOYWW for several weeks and getting back into things. I miss the creative goodness I see on your desk so I am stopping by to say hi!
I know what you mean by gearing up. Only a few weeks before school starts in my house and some possible changes at my husbands job and I am going to get ready to work on my Etsy store again (which has been on hold all summer).

Love the tag. I have some paint chips on my desk that I have been meaning to use on a card. Maybe now is the time.

    Have a blessed day girlfriend!

  6. Happy WOYWW. I saved loads of paint chips when we started on the farmhouse renovation - must dig them out and get crafty. I love autumn - the colours, leaves, images, Halloween .... Ali x #56

  10. I always love it when I see paint chip samples. They are a favorite go-to embellishment.

I love spaghetti squash. I have grown yellow squash, but never spaghetti. Still, it's fun to eat and serve to guests, too.

    Happy WOYWW from #1.

  12. Oh, I love spaghetti squash, but never can find any seeds. Maybe next year.

Canning is a lot of work, but it'll be worth it when you dip into that wonderful produce in the dead of winter. :-)

    Happy Woyww,
