WOYWW 335--Hope, Creativity, and a Cuppa

Welcome to my desk. It's Wednesday. And I share my random Wednesday desk with a bunch of other deskers from around the planet right here at:
What's-On-Your-Workdesk-Wednesday

I sort of love this messy desk photo of me and my life. No propping, no cleaning up. Just a what's happening kind of photo. Lighting is courtesy of daylight savings time...although I dread the early dark each day.

So what's happening? I dunno. I need to sew more, write more, get my ebook published, get my craft book finished, and get with it! I watch too much Dancing With the Stars and Once Upon a Time and I really like to sit and knit and drink my coffee and take my time.

Sigh.

Anyhoo, I was at least decorating part two of my 2016 planner for my Midori. By nature, Midori books are quite plain, and part of the fun of having a Midori traveler's notebook is decorating the notebooks! I use patterned paper, scraps, stickers, washi, whatever I have.
Also on the desk are a lot of punches and my texture boutique...all of which I've been using to make the most of my scrap paper to clear away the stack of it. The pink Instax camera is out to take some photos for things in my flee market booth. So there you have it! A desk. A Wednesday morning. And a lot of hope for more creativity.

Have a happy week.

  4. Lots of goodies on your workdesk I see including hand cream. I notice you like to use up your scrap paper by 'punching' them - I haven't got all your kit so I have to make do with tearing buts to collage underneath artwork. Just so long as nothing is wasted eh? Jackie 14 x

  5. I love your Pooh mug. Is Midori and organizer like a Daytimer? That's great that you are starting one for 2016 already! Lots of nice colors to see.

I'm not participating in WOYWW this week but wanted to stop by to see what you're up to.

    Hugs,
    Kay

    1. Hi Kathy! Thanks for the special visit. Yes, the Midori Traveler's notebooks can be used to hold planners, art journals, list books, you name it. I have five booklets and a six pocket folder in mine and just love it. Have a good week!

  8. Lots of familiar things on your desk -- makes it feel homey and comfortable to me. I love my Texture Boutique. I have been using it on my "mailer" Christmas cards. I see many punches that I recognize too. You have inspired me to get a new mug --- I'm getting exasperated with the DH mixing up our coffee mugs because they are identical. We do not like the same coffee, so it makes me crazy. LOL I'll shop for a fun mug....

  9. This is the sort of cluttery desk I like. I enlarged the photo and had a good old snoop. I love you Pooh mug and the flowers (are they real?). Also the lovely paper weight on the right.
    Have a good week,

  12. I understand your time v crafting issue....sometimes I just seem to be chasing my tail when there seems To be so much to do and I don't know where to start. However, one thing I am proud of this year is that I've bought very little new fabric and am seriously busting my stash!! Go me! I'm down to one very large bag of yarn and three boxes of fabric. If I see a fabric that I must try then a metre is all I buy...it's different now I don't do craft fairs. I hope you're having fun doing your Midori books, they certainly look the bee's knees when you've finished.
I'm sorry you get the dizzy thing too, it sucks..... /-(

  14. What a lovely creative desk. There are never enough hours in the day to do all the things that we enjoy doing. I wonder if thats why I suffer from insomnia - all that time in bed asleep when I could be being creative!

  17. I'm very late, so suspect that your desk will have changed by now...love the idea that you spend more time doing other than you feel you should..makes this less accomplished woman feel a bit normal!

  18. Hi Sandy. Thanks for your visit and your comment. To make my fabric paper I use a layer of muslin then adhere patterned papers with diluted pva glue then paste the PVA glue over the top and adhere craft paper with more glue over the top and then whilst wet I add colour with paint or inks. when dry you can use it in your projects and it can be sewn into. You can find tutorials for fabric paper on Youtube.
