WOYWW 205--Sick Day

Happy What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday! Visit that desk-revealing blog hop right here. Well, I had such a fun and busy card-making weekend, and for a while, this place was a crazy mess! But I made the most fun card for my nephew turning ten. (No pictures--it wasn't that artistic, just lots of fun.) Then the whole family went to an amazing Brazilian Grill restaurant, where the food keeps coming to your table all night long!
Then my daughter sang in a beautiful choir and orchestra concert Sunday. But come Monday, I woke up sick! Dizzy, ill, what-in-the-world I thought! I stayed in bed most of the day. Today (Tuesday) I started feeling like the old me, and by this evening I had Violet (my new sewing/embroidery machine) humming away on some shorts, and was even working on a hand-embroidery project. My sweet daughter had checked out a book from the library for me, all about Downton Abbey! I'm loving it--especially when I'm sick in bed.
My art journal box, and my bits and bobs tray

I'm still a little wobbly, but I think I'm going to make it. So my desk is in the mid-week project transition mode, and my big boy, Joseph, is laying around looking at me...happy that the sun is out and Mommy is up and about to play!

It was so much fun sharing my new toy with you all last week--I couldn't think of anyone that would understand and be more excited with me than my sweet crafty blogger pals!!

  4. I hope you feel better Sandy - I've been under the weather all week too!

Your desk looks beautiful - but of course my eye went right to your sweet, attention stealing kitty, Princes Minnie. You should share his photo at my Wordless Wednesday party. We love oogling and oggling over everyone's pets there!

Have a wonderful week and I would love for you to share your creations at Inspire Me Monday - already they are catching my attention on your sidebar!

  16. Hi Sandy,

I hope you are feeling better! So many fun things to see on your desk. The embroidery looks fun and playful.

I've not watched any episodes of Downton Abbey but will when I go visit a friend in Arizona the end of the month. They are huge fans.

Thanks for visiting me already. I knew it wouldn't be before Saturday that I'd get a chance to visit people but here it is Sunday already!

    Happy WOYWW
