WOYWW 368--Summer Dreams and Schemes

Ohhh...I love summer so much! Even when it's 90 out like today. All I need is the sun. *sigh* I've been obsessed with my gardening and getting out and doing things and the next thing I know, I've missed a couple of desker Wednesdays!

Then, this morning, our whole street had a power outage! Good gravy. So I'm back online, and even though I'm late in the day, I'm determined to join in with this messy desk disaster.
I got a set of 8 crochet hooks in the mail with the grippy handles for just five dollars--maybe I will actually try to crochet something! I have the Midori open with some stamps, chalks, and washi, and getting ready to decorate the next planner book to go in, and there's my cross-stitch. I have now very nearly finished the June room, and I'm on to the next room in the dollhouse. And in my own dollhouse, I'm on to the next room to do some housework and abandon this mess until I can get it more organized! Happy Wednesday.
The June room was the bathroom--something I can say I've never cross-stitched before!

  7. I do like that first picture of your craft room, so bright and colourful. I can tell that you have fun in there from the happy vibes that come across! Your cross stitching is wonderful, I feel the need to do some embroidery again but I don't know if I'd ever sew a toilet! There's a first time for everything, I guess.
Learning to crochet (off YouTube videos) was the best thing I've done for ages, it's very calming zipping back and fore along rows, making blankets for charity...almost Zen-like.
Thanks for the hugs and thoughts. I'm very sad indeed about my dad passing but he'd had an amazing and very happy life and my brothers and I are celebrating that :-)

  8. Your cross stitch is looking beautiful and the whole house is really coming together - I bet you can't wait to finish it and frame it - it will look stunning.
Glad you've been enjoying your garden - that's creativity but just not at the desk! I'm just glad we aren't having to decorate in 90 degree heat!
Have a lovely week and thank you so much for popping by earlier,

  9. Your work is gorgeous, I was a huge cross stitch addict before the paper crafting took hold, I still dabble a little.
