WOYWW 356--Good Afternoon from a Busy Craft Desk!

Happy Wednesday, the day we deskers celebrate What's-On-Your-Workdesk-Wednesday! And...I'm late. What a morning I've had. Let's not even talk about it. Let's get right to the desk. I was searching for some tapestry needles, and remembered I had put a fresh pack in this handy dandy craft supply keeper/organizer by The Paper Studio. I love this thing, it's great for travel, or just organizing lots of your bits and bobs--it has sooo many compartments. Also out is some washi tape and some fabric washi tape--I love both. And watching over my desk is my dark chocolate Easter Bunny. That's right...I still get an Easter basket.

And, what's not on my desk, but in my lap, is my cross-stitching. I am right on schedule with room no. 3 of my big dollhouse. My goal is to just get one room a month stitched so I'll have the entire dollhouse done by December. I think the sewing room is my favorite, but there are lots of cute rooms in here.

So, in the interest of somehow being last on the list but getting to participate today--I better get this one posted. See you at your desk!

  1. Yes, better late than never. Good that you could make it.
I love your cross stitch. Are you doing it from a pattern or making it up as you go along?
That organizer looks very handy indeed. I went on the Net and looked at their site but haven't found it. Perhaps it is no longer for sale....
Happy WOYWW and have a great week

  3. Hi sandy That sounds a huge cross stitch project you've got going there! I used to do a lot of cross stitch and loved it and have a few pictures around the house. Perhaps I'll go back to it one day. I am going to try and find an organiser like that to take away on holiday. my husband thinks I'm mad to be taking card making stuff away but 2 whole weeks!!!!!! Yikes!

  4. You'll be glad to know that you're not the last on the list, Sandy! Lovely washi tapes! I don't think I've ever come across fabric ones. I will look for those online! Your organizer looks very handy and the cross stitch is so neat. Great plan to do one section each month! Thanks for visiting earlier! Happy Wednesday! zsuzsa #26

  5. Ooh, I love that cross stitch...look at the weeny sewing machine, it's so cute!💖💖 Are you working from a chart or making it up yourself? It almost makes me want to buy some embroidery floss, seeing what you do with it. And that organiser is fabulous, you can have a mini craft room ready to go with you wherever you travel. I use one of my zipped totes, it's amazing what you can stuff in there if you try😂
It tickled me that you'd never heard of odds and sods...it sounds better than bits and bobs, which sounds terribly twee. And I am many things, but twee is most definitely not one of them!!

Hope your morning wasn't as tricksy as it sounded...take care lovely gal,

  7. I just love that you are stitched up a dollhouse. I'm sure it is very cute. You must show it off in all its glory in December when you are done. Your craft keeper organizer looks great. Thanks for the visit earlier. Yes! My desk is the kind that rolls shut. It is great for when I have lots of little things all over that I don't want the cats to knock off. PJ #54

  12. Hope your day gets better! I hate when you can't find the needles you want. Grrr. I end up buying more and then find the ones I was looking for.

  16. It's lovely to be visiting your lovely desk again Sandy, I've missed it. Your cross stitch is looking lovely and doesn't everyone still get Easter goodies!!!!! I haven't started mine yet either.
Thanks for visiting earlier and your lovely comments. I have a real soft spot for Charlie Chaplin, we used to watch him when we were little and though he was hilarious. It's a shame they don't show any now.

  18. What a fun organizer. And I'm swooning over that chocolate rabbit. This is the first year my hubby and I hadn't had time to get organized for Easter. Always enjoyed cross stitch and love seeing it. Pretty details you have going on with it. Have a great weekend. Forecast for 60's and SUNSHINE....so much needed.

  19. Hi, Sandy, I'm glad you still get an Easter basket. That's a handy organizer you have there. The Easter Bunny brought me a little package of three thin washi tape rolls -- what a nice bunny! Happy WOYWW (a day late) and thanks for your visit! ~ Laura #62
