What's-on-Your-Workdesk-Wednesday
While I've been at my desk a lot...making plans...doodling...stitching...watching YouTube...I haven't made a dent in any new projects. Yet. But the time is coming! First of all, I love having that little green basket on my desk when I'm getting ready to play with paper...it serves as a handy little waste basket. Second, I'm knitting both coasters and a stack of face cloths--I'm giving the face cloths as a gift with a big bar of artisan lavendar soap! I think it will look cute all wrapped up with a ribbon. And last but not least, I got a new set of beautiful pens, with ultra-fine no-dry tips, and I'm loving them for my planner, art journal, and scrapbook pages already. The package comes with its own easel, so you can keep them all together. A girl I watch on YouTube uses them for Project Life--and she was right, they are perfect for journaling and doodling.
Next--I'm already behind with the March sewing room in the dollhouse. But since I'm about to finish it, I'll soon move onto the April room, and it's smaller and the last thing on the third floor--a sunporch! Several have asked me if this is a pattern. Last year El Blog de DMC published one room a month of this super cute cross-stitch pattern. And you can still download it for free right here. This link will take you to the whole house and the first room--from there you can see each month in 2015 where she posted a room pattern.
Now, onto more serious matters. I was so upset about Downton Abbey ending, I kept the last two episodes in limbo on my DVR for weeks. I finally brought myself to watch them last weekend. Oh my goodness. I had sad tears, happy tears, sentimental tears. I was a mess. But in the end, very happy. And I will stop there because I don't want to spoil a thing for any DA fans. Just know, it's worth watching every season of it! It's in my DNA now, so I'll probably re-watch the whole thing every year.
Have a lovely week lovelies.

ReplyDeleteYour cross stitch is looking good.
ReplyDeleteI hate it when one of my favorite tv shows ends. It's like losing friends because you become some involved with the characters.
Have a great day.

Anyone who can cross stitch is a genius in my book. Along with crotchet it's beyond me.

Beautiful cross stitch - I just don't have the patience. So - it's wet felting for me today - lots of bashing and rolling of woolly fibres! x Jo
ReplyDeleteYour cross stitch is delightful - I've just had a look at the whole house, it's lovely and your embroidery will look quite stunning when finished.

HI Sandy! I love new pens... of any kind. Staedtler do make the best though. YOu're making great strides on that cross-stitch project. And the knitted wash clothes sparked an idea for me. Thanks! Creative BLessings! Kelly #40
