WOYWW 389--Bible Journaling Tote

Well things have just been a whirlwind ever since I turned 56 last week! Happy What's-On-Your-Workdesk-Wednesday lovelies.
And I offer this half-blurry photo for my quick post today taken early this morning. This is my beloved bible/art journaling tote I put together a couple of weeks ago. It is to keep all my journaling supplies together, lug around the house if I want to, and I can't believe how much I love this. And thank goodness I did it. Because the next week, I suddenly auditioned for a musical, 9 to 5 the Musical. The music and lyrics were written by Dolly Pardon, and it is, of course, based on the movie 9 to 5 which I always loved, and I got a great role! I am loving rehearsals and all the singing and the dancing, and really all the music in this show is fantastic. But I also work, I craft, I sing in the church choir. So keeping up my energy is job one right now.

I find though, that having at least this much of my art supplies together and organized has made all the difference. And in my "theatre rehearsal bag" I can just grab my Midori, and one of the little bags in this tote that has the real on-the-go things like markers, washi tape, and a few stamps and then I also throw in my knitting and *boom* I've got things to do at rehearsal when I'm not on. Woo hoo!

But I still plan to do a blog about my whole journaling tote here when I have a minute--so it's coming soon!

Happy Wednesday!

  7. Wow Sandy, you go girl!! I think it's wonderful that you got a part in the show...I don't know about you but having a birthday reminds you that there's lots of things left to achieve and that life is too short to waste. That's why I like to keep busy too! That tote is proving itself to be very useful huh?!

  9. ooh I love that you are portable, I am trying to decide what I want to pack to have a quick coloring of images for Christmas cards kind of a tote thing that can go back and forth to work but, so far I am disorganized about it and end up filling up a bag and unpacking it each time. Thanks for the earlier visit ~ Stacy #44

  10. That looks absolutely great, Sandy, and I look forward to a blog post about it all. Do you do art on your Bible? I've seen some awesome stuff online about that. Unfortunately mine doesn't have very wide margins. However, it is covered with notes that I've made over the 20+ years that I've had it! Congratulations getting a part in the musical - I have the greatest admiration for people who can act, and even more those who can sing while they are doing it! I am fine with the singing part but couldn't act to save my life... You are a lady of many talents. Thank you for your lovely comment, and I'm so glad you like my cat card. I agree with you, cat cards are the best! I love drawing them, especially quirky ones and Zentangle ones.

Happy belated birthday for last week!

    Happy belated WOYWW,
