A Mountain of Madness-- WOYWW

I just love What's-On-Your-Workdesk-Wednesdays and all the lovely ones who participate! It really is kinda fun to just suddenly stop in the middle of whatever and snap a picture of the madness! Some days, it's much neater, and prettier, and calmer. But today...creative mountains of madness and mess! I've been embroidering on a cute doll...whitewashing pages of an old book that is to become a refurbished art journal...some cross-stitch projects...and of course that butterfly scarf I started last week. During lunch breaks, and late at night is when the butterfly scarf comes out, and I think it's coming along quite nicely! The little doll is going to stitch up in no time. She's kind of an experiment. And the art journal will take the rest of the year, for sure! Oh...but I have a nice, very long holiday vacation time planned in December--days and days and days. It's getting me through right now! So happy WOYWW everyone. Crafty hugs!

I've also been making flowers on a little loom.
Painting this future art journal white.

The butterfly scarf with super soft spa yarn.
Eat, Write, Dream, Stitch and make your work desk a happy place!

  3. Lovely lot of crafty goodness on your desk today :D Love the look of that butterfly scarf, so pretty! That's going to keep you toasty warm in the winter!! There's a real nip in the air over here in the UK, everyone is full of colds as the season turns. I love autumn so much, it's my favourite season. I live by a huge forest (called Savernake if you want to google it) and the walks in there are brilliant. You can be completely surrounded by orange leaves...gorgeous :D

  50. Wow that scarf looks amazing. Is it complicated? Can't wait to see it finished. I only calculate how long it takes to crochet each side because I hate to leave a pund not finished so make sure I have time to finish before bed, plus I am a counting freak, I count everything. Don't know why. Also every night I wonder why I'm not making much progress and now I know it's because it takes so long to go all the way round. Sorry for waffling.

  61. Hi Sandy,

I'm so glad I finally made it!! It was a crazy weekend and time just got away from me.

You have lots of interesting projects on your desk - the butterfly scarf is looking great. I need to step up my knitting from the usual cowl and spa cloths.

I think it's great to have multiple projects going - it seems that's the way I operate too.
